China Metallurgical Mining Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CMMC) was established in 1986, now under the State Capital Supervisory Committee of the State Council. Its predecessor is the Mining Corporation, Ministry of Metallurgical Industry which is a department responsible for the work of the national metallurgical mining enterprise. After the reforming of state institution, it becomes a big enterprise being directly under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. At the present time, 12 countrywide iron and steel enterprises such as Anshan iron and steel corporation, Benxi iron and steel corporation, Baoshan iron and steel corporation, Wuhan iron and steel corporation, Hanxing metallurgical mining administrative bureau and Luzhong iron and steel corporation having stock in CMMC. 10 enterprises are directly subordinated to the corporation, 2 sub-institutions and 8 holding enterprises. 1. Exploitation and operation of iron and steel furnace charge:
the company deals with investment and development of iron ore at home and abroad mainly; operates iron and steal furnace charge products such as import iron ore, balled mines and manganese etc.

2. Optimization control of mine tire consumption:
The company has established the largest tire revamping plant with the best equipment and the most advanced technology in China by importing the advanced non-model sulphurating production line from the United States and thermo-mending equipment from TIP TOP company of Germany which are mainly used for revamping and mending large size of mine and engineering tires. Based on it, the company develops optimization control of mine tire consumption and contracts for tire consumption of the main domestic metallurgical mines.

3. Metallurgical fire-resistant materials
Customers of both at home and abroad especially in metallurgical industry are fond of various grades of the Brand “Jinkai” high, medium and low-carbon of flake graphite and other graphite products in Jinchang Graphite Mine and XinPing Graphite Factory which was built by the company investment It is used to make advanced fire-resistant materials, high-temperature and pressure sealing materials, conducting electricity and heat lubricating materials, etc. Such as magnesia carbon brick, crucible soft graphite products, brush, cell, kinescope coating, metal casting and forging, machinery fixed lubricating oil and reduced friction dose, etc.

4. Mining technique development
The new technique of metallurgical mining trade and modern material metal magnetic liners are wilding applied to ferrous, nonferrous gold and building material industries. It makes the wet grinding mill liner plates’ service life increased 5-6 times than that of traditional Mn-steel plates. Moreover, the company has developed and produced a new kind of material granulated by the dust removed from the sintering plant. Since the dust can be granulated, the utilization ratio of the dust removed, air permeability of sinter and sintering rate are increased. The new type expanding-moist soil can replace Calcium expanding-moist soil which is used by Metallurgical Pellet Factories. It may reduce more than 50% of addition and improve the grade of pellet. Furthermore, it can decrease the content of SiO2. The company cooperated with Scientific Research Institution and developed automatic control item which made considerable progress in nearly two years. The automatic control item of ball crusher can increase the output of each ball crusher 8-10%. Moreover, the temperature automatic control has achieved remarkable effects. The above-mentioned new techniques have been handling in the metallurgical industries successfully such as the iron and steel company of Beijing and Chengde. Other products such as high-water quick solidify filling materials, the system of dust granulation and excitation switch box of ball crusher etc. are wilding applied to industries of metallurgy, building materials, non-metal mines and gold.

5. Metallurgical energy saving technology

6. The project of environmental and safety protection engineering
The company is mainly engaged in performing design and construction for environmental protection and safety protection projects, making environmental assessment and evaluation, monitoring and testing noxious and harmful gases, opening up and expanding breath protecting devices; making comprehensive use of resources and supplying technical consulting for environment improvement; producing and selling metallurgical products, building materials, chemical products and anti-corrosive paints.
